Job description

Telicent is looking for experienced SC/DV Cleared DevOps Engineers to join our growing and dynamic team. If you are passionate about automation, cloud technologies and ensuring smooth and efficient software delivery, we want to hear from you.


Key responsibilities:

Containerisation:

  • Containerising workloads using Docker and other container build tools.
  • Implement and manage Kubernetes processes and deployments, ensuring efficient container orchestration and scalability.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):

  • Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Terraform for provisioning and configuration.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to define IaC best practices and standards.

Security:

  • Implement security best practices using DevSecOps principles such as Infrastructure-as-code scanning, static code analysis, and security automation.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with development and operations teams to troubleshoot issues and optimise performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement DevOps best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues, working closely with application development teams and data scientists.

Job requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2 years of experience in a DevOps role with a focus on Terraform, Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Strong experience with Terraform for IaC, with CloudFormation as a nice to have.
  • Experience running production applications on Azure (preferred) or AWS Cloud infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools.
  • Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks.
  • Experience with version control systems, especially GitHub.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to document processes and share knowledge with the team.

Desired but not required:

  • Experience with Openshift
  • Certification in Azure, AWS, Kubernetes or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with Kafka.
  • Familiarity with MOD D2S 

Candidates must be UK-based and hold an active SC or DV clearance that is available to transfer.  Salary dependent on experience.
